We are flying home from Dynamic Essentials and I have just finished flipping through a magazine. The reason I don’t read magazines is because I usually find something in them that really frustrates and angers me. This time it was a drug advertisement for a drug that is supposed to help people with depression.

The COMMON SIDE EFFECTS listed in the ad were: Risk of death because people who take it lose touch with reality. Risk of suicide. Panic attacks, sleep problems, irritability, anger and violent tendencies, acting on dangerous impulses, neuroleptic malignant syndrome (high fever, stiff muscles, confusion, sweating, changes in heart rate and blood pressure, which may lead to death), high blood sugar, high cholesterol, weight gain, tremors, low white blood cell count, cataracts, seizures, abnormal thyroid function, abnormal liver function, difficulty swallowing, disturbance in speech and language AND MORE!

ACTIVITIES TO BE AVOIDED WHILE ON THIS DRUG:

Do not drive, avoid getting overheated or dehydrated, do not exercise, stay indoors in warm weather, stay out of the sun, do not drink alcohol as it may make side effects worse. WOULD THIS DEPRESS YOU?

How did this drug ever get approved? If you read up on any drug it won’t look much different. These are not side effects. They are effects - unwanted, unpleasant dangerous, health robbing, life stealing effects. The United States spends more on health care and is the most drugged nation in the world and it ranks 45th on the list of healthiest countries and its rank is falling. The trend is exactly the same in Canada.

Putting these chemicals in your body makes no sense! THERE IS A BETTER WAY.
